Gigi at 30: Finding Black & Gold in Boston

If there’s anything resembling a “typical day” for Gigi Marvin, it definitely involves lots and lots of hockey, with a good dose of faith mixed in.
On a recent weekday, she took a break from the training that is a part of her daily routine on the East Coast and spent a few minutes talking about what life and hockey looks like for her now. Where a little more than a decade ago she was a Warroad Warrior, today the former Minnesota Ms. Hockey wears a different shade of black and gold, skating for the Boston Pride of the National Women’s Hockey League. After spending years in maroon and gold with the Minnesota Golden Gophers and in red, white and blue with various USA teams, Gigi admits that she loves once again donning the colors that were so much a part of her childhood.
